We are pleased that you are considering the Tiftarea Conference Center for your future event. Please refer to the following information for terms that apply to secure the Tiftarea Conference Center for your use.
Basic Terms of Rental of the Tiftarea Conference Center
Meeting room rental includes, for all events:
• Assistance with the planning of your event by our professional sales staff
• Appropriate set-up that includes
• Tables, chairs, Water Service
• White Linens
• Pens and paper
• Use of public address sound system
• Availability of other negotiated arrangements as requested, the terms of which will be defined in a contract.
• You must be at least 25 years of age to rent the Tiftarea Conference Center.
• The TCC retains the right and power to specify the maximum and minimum number of personnel utilized by the customer, including, without limitation, security personnel and police protection at the expense of the customer.
Food and Beverage
• Food and beverage must be purchased from our Catering staff, or from our list of Preferred Caterers.
• Beer and Wine may be purchased from the Tiftarea Conference Center
• Customer may bring own special occasion food items, if arranged in writing with our catering staff before the event. A service charge may apply for our staff to assist in serving these items.
Deposit
A deposit of $150.00, or 25% of the anticipated bill for the event, (whichever is greater), will be required upon signing the agreement to rent the Tiftarea Conference Center.This deposit will serve to hold the space and secure our staff for your event, and will be utilized as a security deposit until after the event is held.
Cancellation by Customer
In the event that you cancel the event, the TCC has the right to keep the full deposit as non-refundable, at its discretion. Cancellations within ten (10) business days before the event are non-refundable.
Payment and Settlement
The full balance of the rental fee, catering charges, and other applicable charges shall be paid in full 3 business days prior to the scheduled event.
Indemnification and Allocation of Risk
Customer agrees to be responsible for and pay, indemnify and hold harmless the TCC, its officers, agents and employees against any and all losses, cost or expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, resulting from any claim or legal action of any nature as a result of an event at the TCC.
Acts of God
Customer waives any and all claims for compensation or damage for any and all loss or damage sustained by any person by reason of any defect, deficiency, interruption or impairment of the air conditioning, electrical or plumbing systems or their installations or by reason of any loss, interruption or impairment of air conditioning, electric current or water supply which may occur from any cause, or for any loss or damage, including the prohibition of use of the facilities sustained by the customer resulting from fire, water, wind, storm, hurricane (including hurricane advisory or warning) or other acts of God, civil commotion, riots or labor strikes.
Event Requirements
• Without prior written approval from the TCC, the Customer shall not bring onto the premises any material, substance, equipment or object which may endanger the life of, or may cause bodily injury to any person on the premises or which may constitute a hazard to property thereon as reasonably determined by the TCC.
• TCC has reserved the right to refuse to allow any such material, substance, equipment or object to be brought on the premises and further, TCC reserves the right to require its immediate removal.
• The customer shall not, at any time, admit a larger number of persons than the signed paperwork officially supplies, nor the official capacity for the facility.
